Bangladeshi-born militant of Islamic State killed in Syria airstrikes

A Bangladesh origin militant of the Islamic State has been killed in an airstrike in Syria in December, according to the US-led coalition.

Top spokesperson for the coalition Col. Steve Warren listed names of 10 Islamic State leaders killed by airstrikes, reports the Washington Post.

The Syria-based Bangladeshi militant Saiful Haque (Sujan) was killed near Raqqa on December 10th.

Educated as a computer systems engineer in the U.K., Sujan was an external operations planner for the Islamic State He had a role in hacking efforts, use of anti-surveillance technology and weapons development.

All 10 Islamic State leaders killed and named on Wednesday 30th Dec. were mowed down by airstrikes, mostly using unmanned aircraft. The list includes Charaffe al Mouadan and Abdul Kader Hakim, who had ‘links’ to the Paris attackers.
