KARACHI: A girl in the Pirabad area was arrested after she set her father on fire for the rape of her younger and older sisters, police said on Sunday 19/3.
In a statement to the police, the girl said she made the plan to set her father on fire after he attempted to rape her too.
In a First-Information Report, her brother alleged that his sister drugged their father with sleeping pills on Friday 18/3 and set him on fire, after which he succumbed to his injuries, Superintendent Police (SP) Investigation Akhtar Farooq said.
A case was registered against the accused under sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 334 (punishment for intention to cause hurt) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The accused was taken into custody and is being held at the Women Police Station West Zone Liaquatabad Karachi. No “Honor Killing” mitigation for her.
