It is also reported that the Syrian delegate provided the information as he attended Syria peace talks at the United Nations European headquarters in Geneva. The UN-brokered talks in Geneva aimed at putting an end to the devastating five-year civil war in Syria.

However, in Geneva, three Syrian opposition delegations: the Riyadh-backed High Negotiations Committee, a delegation formed after Moscow and Cairo rounds of Syrian talks and a delegation formed at the Hmeimim air facility in Syria are participating in the negotiations with the Syrian government.

Nevertheless, the Arab country is currently observing an agreement for the cessation of hostilities which entered into force on February 27. The agreement stipulates the cessation of all military hostilities in Syria, except for the operations against ISIS terrorist group and al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front militants.

The agreement was negotiated by Russia and the United States. Many suggest that Washington is among the main supporters of terrorists fighting against the Syrian government forces.
