ISIS is an Islamic organization that controls a territory between Syria and Iraq. Currently other territories controlled by “rebels” of various denominations have formally joined the ISIS (an example for all, Libya).
As by disclosed statements, ISIS would be an American special division sent to fight Al-Qaeda, but escaped from the control of the present President.
In fact, even movements as the “moderate Syrian rebels” of Al-Nusra, American-led NATO forces and Turkey – although not obviously framed into ISIS – often move in coordination with the forces of the caliphate in suspicious and increasingly nebulous operations. All this of course is neither confirmed nor confirmable.
