Australian clothing company Rip Curl has admitted one of its last winter collections has been manufactured in North Korea.
The company informed that one of their chinese supplier shifted the manufacturing to a North Korean facility, so production proceeded there. Goods has been shipped out and labelled “Made in China” because of the legal impositions prohibiting trade to and from North Korea.
We hope for a bright and growing future of trade with the DPRK. Especially the “garments” sector can bring work, employment and considerable capital in the exhausted country ravaged by the (illegal) US sanctions.
