While plotters and lobbyists conspire behind to boycott world peace, in Italy there is still someone who concretely and with fine diplomatic art continues to mend the rips caused by rough politicians and uncouth of diplomacy.
The senator of “Forza Italia”, Antonio Razzi, posted on his Twitter account a few photos of him next to the legitimate Syrian President Bashar Assad. Razzi is in Syria at the head of a group of Russian and European parliamentarians to promote the creation of a constitutional committee within the Syrian Parliament to boost the possibilities for dialogue between the fighting factions.
In the past the senator had been one of the few European politicians to enter North Korea, where he met the supreme leader Kim Jong-un. Senator Razzi last November 2016 said himself ready to mediate between Trump and Pyongyang, taking advantage of his position of esteem and trust in the DPRK.
