Film on Humayun Ahmed’s novel depicts what Pak soldiers did to Bengali Hindus in 1971

A film based on Humayun Ahmed’s novel “Anil Bagchir Ekdin” (One day of Anil Bagchi) depicts what Pakistani soldiers did to innocent Bengali Hindus in 1971.

Popular writer Humayun Ahmed in his novel “Anil Bagchir Ekdin” (One day of Anil Bagchi) has highlighted the reality of what Pakistani soldiers did to innocent Bengali Hindus in 1971. And the director Morshedul Islam made a film based on that novel.

Through this film, the director has explained to the new generation of Bengalis how, in the Bangladesh war of 1971, Islamic thugs killed their fathers and brothers and brutally raped their mothers and sisters in front of their eyes.

Most people in Bangladesh do not remember the atrocities of the Pakistani Army. The Hindus who were forced to flee from East Pakistan, i.e. East Bengal (now Bangladesh) do not remember either. Today, the situation is again moving in the same direction (forced exodus of Bengali Hindus) . Bengali or Bangal – be it Trinamool, CPM, Congress, BJP or Awami – whoever you are – if you are a Hindu, this is the picture of your future.
