G20: Obama coolly received in China

Although the US President Barack Obama hoped to close positively his last visit to Asia as “supreme commander” of the world, it has not gone well for him. And he felt definitely as the “third wheel”.

Misunderstandings between the White House and the hosts of the G20 summit began the first few minutes after the landing of the Air Force One in Hangzhou. For the plane of the American President was not offered a staircase with red carpet and Obama has set foot in the Chinese territory by a spare scale.

Subsequently started a verbal conflict between the Obama assistant and a collaborator of the Chinese Protocol. As noted by the Associated Press, the Chinese representatives have dismissed the American journalists from the area where it was Obama, not allowing them to get close to the President.

When Obama’s assistant began to emphasize that “the president is American and the United States decide upon the rules for their leader,” his Chinese colleague responded: “This is our country. This is our airport.”

In addition, the Chinese representatives did not allow the National Security Adviser Susan Rice to get close to Obama. As a member of the Protocol instructed Rice and the White House spokesman where they were supposed to put the journalists, an agent of the US Secret Service tried to came closer but was however readily moved away.

From Beijing did not come official comments on the matter.
