Meeting Makao, the 2 meter and 13 cm Congolese body guard who protects Macron

Two meters and thirteen cm high, an identity card that under “birthplace” reads: Kinshasa, Congo.

This is the identikit of Makao, a bodyguard who since nine months is beside (or behind, still close enough to protect) Emmanuel Macron, the candidate and now President of the French Republic.

Unlikely the press could not notice him. It is not just a matter of stature, though this is the reason why in France people have nicknamed him “Goliath”. Even not noticing his hairstyle is hard, given the white details in the beard and the right eyebrow, and a hairstyle that is all but usual. “Everyone was in line for a selfie with him,” France Press journalist Marie Dhumieres, who photographed Makao at a public event during the election campaign, told a few days ago.

Public success, name and place of birth aside, we do not know much about him. What is certain is that if the goal was to discourage potential threats, the choice could not be better.
