The Islamic State has a rapper, and he is still alive. Despite his death was announced by the Pentagon last autumn, the Italian Intelligence confirm that he is still alive.
Deso Dogg – Wilkommen In Meiner Welt
Deso Dogg is considered one of the major figures of the propaganda of the Islamic State: he appeared in numerous videos for the recruitment of German jihadists.
Deso Dogg, whose real name is Denis Cuspert, also known as Abu Talha al-Almani, was a mediocre singer of the Berlin music scene before joining Al Qaeda and then the ISIS formation.
In his latest video, in February of last year, holding up a decapitated head, urged other radical Muslims to leave their home and join with him in the camps of Syria and Iraq. The death sentence against Cuspert was issued by the German government after the US State Department included him in the list of global terrorists.
The Cuspert issue has immediately attracted the attention of the German Government. Exponent of the “Jihad Cool”, considered the best musician among those recruited by ISIS (imagine the others…), has been added at the top of the list of targets of the Schnelle Kräfte Division. For sure not an easy mission, considering the essential role of the 39 year old in the organization of the Islamic State.
In September 2014, the German intelligence with the Verfassungsschutz agency, published a 25 pages analysis dedicated right at Cuspert, entitled: “Denis Cuspert: the jihadist career.” In the report, the man is defined as “one of the first Salafist propagandists, jihadist committed and determined to emerge in the German society.”
Although still alive, remains a DOA (dead or alive) target. Before devoting radical Islam, Cuspert was a petty criminal whose rap lyrics, however, already revealed a dark and twisted mind. Son of a Ghanaian who abandoned him and his mother, Cuspert has recorded three albums for a “gangsta rap” label based in Berlin, enjoying some success with the single “Willkommen in meiner Welt” (Welcome to my world) in 2010. Welcome to my world full of hatred and murder – recites a passage of the song – the souls of children submissively cry when blacks angels sing.
He converted to Islam in 2010 after a car accident in which he was losing his life. Since then, his music has started to support violent jihad. In 2012, Cuspert leaves Germany for Syria where he joined Al Qaeda. When the Islamic State detached from the terrorist group after the 11/9 attacks, Cuspert consecrates his loyalty to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
